Fewer Israeli nurses per capita than in the developed world: While the current relatively large stock of physicians per capita has bought time for Israel to reverse the trends in medical school graduates, the situation among nurses is considerably more problematic.
Israel has less than half the nurses per capita of the OECD and the United States – and while this share is rising in the West, it is in the midst of a long and steady decline in Israel.
