Research Conditions in Israeli Universities

Author: Gideon Czapski, published under Education
a18 Nov 1989

The study presented in this report addresses itself to the research conditions of scientists in Israel in view of the disturbing tendency of many Israeli scientists to transfer the focus of their research abroad. The “brain drain” from Israel to the United States and other overseas universities is not merely theoretical; the causes must be understood and counter-measures taken. After studying the process and its causes, the author examines possible remedies.
